Getting a zen moment at Disney World isn’t exactly at the top of the list between character meets and fastpass deadlines, but if you’re willing to take a load off, you might be surprised.
Tucked away at a Disney Resort you’ll find yoga… and not just any yoga.
Mickey Yoga.
The kind of yoga that you need after dealing with late nights with fireworks and waiting in the rain for transportation. People coming together to not only enjoy Disney, but give their body a some relaxation on this vacation too.
And even better, it’s free.
If you’re willing to wake up early and head out for some relaxation- you won’t be alone. I was joined by several other people on my trip to experience this once a week retreat.
I got there about 2 minutes early and was pleasantly surprised to see everyone with smiling faces- strangers all brought together by namaste and yoga.
Together we walked through a beginners class with appropriate (yet rather loud music)
There were quite a few runners passing us by in the early AM, so the music being turned up was rather warranted.
It’s important to note that this class was a beginners class, yet also quick. 30 minutes (though it ran a tad over) isn’t always enough time to get the biggest benefit but, then again, most people at Disney are on a significant time crunch.
If you don’t have 30 minutes for yoga, what do you have?
So where is this yoga located?
You’ll find it on the boardwalk- directly outside of the back entrance to the Deluxe Resort, BeachClub.
Best Part- you don’t even need to bring a mat!
My instructor this morning was absolutely fabulous (I truly believe the instructor is the biggest key to any class)
And if I’m on the boardwalk on a Friday at 7, you’ll see me at yoga!
Namaste.
